[FWM News] **Northstar GS's Cancelled; Squaw adds 3rd SG

The Northstar GS races scheduled for this weekend on Sat/Sun Feb. 26-27 
are ***CANCELLED***

As anyone who's been watching the weather forecasts this week is aware, 
a very strong storm system is moving into the Sierras today, with up to 
3-4 ft of snow predicted before the system moves through on Saturday, 
along with high winds and hazardous travel conditions on Friday.  
Reluctantly, the organizers have concluded that the conditions will not 
allow for putting on a safe racing event this weekend and are making 
the cancellation decision early in the best interests of traveling 
competitors.

The Squaw SG's scheduled for Monday Feb. 28 at STILL ON!!  The Squaw 
race department believes that they will have sufficient opportunity 
with the weather clearing on Saturday to prepare properly for Monday's 
races.

Squaw has also decided that they can step up and run a third SG race on 
Monday for us, so if you're entered and looking forward to a 
challenging day of speed competition you now sign up for an additional 
SG!
