[FWM News] Heavenly is on, Sierra at Tahoe cancelled

The Heavenly SL races on Friday Jan. 10 are ON! Scheduling chief Mike Braun confirmed with 
Heavenly's race department today that World Cup has snow for our races next Friday and they are 
looking forward to hosting the masters at the annual Viva Italia event.

Due to lack of snow, Sierra at Tahoe will not be able to put on the planned GS races on Sat-Sun 
Jan. 11-12, so those races are cancelled. We were unable to locate an alternate venue, with the 
severe dry weather continuing into the New Year and affecting areas throughout our region.

Time and location for the post-race Viva Italia party are being finalized and will be posted when 
available. PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR RACE ENTRIES TO ALLOW THE ORGANIZERS TO PLAN AND PREPARE TO PUT ON 
THIS EVENT!!
