DUAL RACE INFORMATION

On April 17th we will have dual team races. The format is as follows:
Teams will be selected from the entries received by Saturday afternoon April 16th.
Each team will consist of about 8 racers and there will be 5 (teams “A”-“E”).
Each team will have their racers ranked into one of about 8 slots (“1” through “8”) with the most skilled athlete at slot “1 “down to the least skilled at slot “8”.
This will be a round robin event. Each of the teams will race each other team once (total of 4 runs for each racer, as you will race each of the 4 other teams once).
When team A races team B, the “1” racer from A will race the “1” racer from team B. The “2” racer from A will race the “2” racer from team B and so on. Since each team is seeded, each race will pair like-ability racers.
Each team will receive one point for each individual race won. The team with the most total points at the end of the 4 rounds is the winner.
Both courses will be set to be as even as possible. The entire team will race on the same course (either red or blue) for each round. Teams will be alternated each round on different courses so that by the end of the day you will have raced 2 runs on one course and 2 runs on the other. This should even out any difference between courses
8) If you miss your start you will DQ
9)If you interfere with your opponent, you DQ.
10)If both racers fall, 1st to fall loses.
11)If you barge the gate, you DQ…No second chances!!
12)If a racer is unable to finish their runs once they have started they will be considered a DSQ for the remaining runs.
13)If a racer on a team does not show up for the day (DNS), then that team will receive a total of 1.5 points for the missing racer and the other racers who occupy that slot on the other 4 teams, will race only 3 times and get whatever points they win...
14)We will run the races consecutively, so go back to the start as soon as you finish your run.
15)Each racer will be identified by his or her team name(letter) and numbered slot. You must know yours to figure where you race each round. This information will be posted at the race.
16)MOST IMPORTANT , HAVE FUN!!,
